Faststream have partnered with a UK based shipping company who due to retirement are actively seeking a Fleet Director to head up the management of their fleet
As well as being responsible for the day to day management of vessels through your team you will also be responsible for implementing policies and standards for the effective operations and cost management of these vessels.
In this role you will make up part of the companies leaderships team and you will play an active role in shaping the future of the maritime business.
Continuous improvement is a key driver in this role and you will be leveraging new technologies You will be the leader and the final point of contact for all senior seafarers on all company vessels dealing with all aspects of ship management which will include delivery of operational, service and financial targets.

- Previous Chief Engineer
- Management of ships whilst off service during dry dock and repair period
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to work with both maritime and shoreside teams
- Experience of resource and budget management
- Previous experience of delivering organisational change management and culture shift
