We’re working with a leading international organisation seeking a Finance Reporting & Tax Manager to take the lead on statutory reporting, group consolidation, and tax compliance across a diverse portfolio of entities. This is a high-profile, hands-on role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensure robust financial controls, and drive improvements in reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
  • Lead preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP
  • Manage the month-end reporting cycle, consolidation, and review process
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Oversee the year-end close process and coordinate audits with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Tax Management
  • Manage all corporate tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns and calculations
  • Oversee VAT, PAYE, and other indirect tax reporting to ensure timely submissions
  • Advise on tax planning opportunities and identify potential risks
  • Act as the primary contact for HMRC and external tax advisors
  • Monitor and assess the impact of changes in tax legislation
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team across multiple locations
  • Drive process improvement and automation within reporting and tax functions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth, compliant financial operations
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting and tax, ideally within a group structure
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax compliance
  • Experience managing audits and liaising with tax authorities
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills
  • Proven track record in process improvement or systems implementation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor others
