We’re working with a leading international organisation seeking a Finance Reporting & Tax Manager to take the lead on statutory reporting, group consolidation, and tax compliance across a diverse portfolio of entities. This is a high-profile, hands-on role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensure robust financial controls, and drive improvements in reporting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Lead preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP
- Manage the month-end reporting cycle, consolidation, and review process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Oversee the year-end close process and coordinate audits with internal and external stakeholders
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Manage all corporate tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns and calculations
- Oversee VAT, PAYE, and other indirect tax reporting to ensure timely submissions
- Advise on tax planning opportunities and identify potential risks
- Act as the primary contact for HMRC and external tax advisors
- Monitor and assess the impact of changes in tax legislation
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team across multiple locations
- Drive process improvement and automation within reporting and tax functions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth, compliant financial operations
- Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting and tax, ideally within a group structure
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax compliance
- Experience managing audits and liaising with tax authorities
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills
- Proven track record in process improvement or systems implementation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor others
