Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the full set of accounts for the company
- Responsible for all aspects of the accounting and financial functions of the company
- Process payroll, employee expense claims, statutory contributions and government reimbursements
- Monitor and manage foreign currency exposure
- Prepare and manage monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts independently
- Prepare IR8A forms for employees to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
- Build up bank relationships, focusing to establish credit lines and manage trade financing with banks
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders during audits and year-end closing.
- Analyse the financial performance of the company and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Review financial procedures, internal controls, and business processes/systems to ensure effective controls are in place
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support overall financial planning and decision-making
- Handle any ad hoc accounting and finance tasks as required by management
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the shipping, maritime, or logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and financial regulations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
