Job Description

The Food & Beverage Training Officer shall have the following qualifications:
  • Seagoing experience in an F & B officer position, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than (2) years;
  • A good command of the English language(written & verbal) ;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Certified train the trainer as per IMO model course 6.09;
  • Experience with training multi cultural crew;
  • Should have practical and theoretical training and development experience;
  • Must be able to work independently, have sufficient computer skills to create training presentations ;
 The Food & Beverage Training Officer is responsible to:
  • Create & deliver specific face to face training programs on board when assigned;
  • Maintain an updated file for the approved training syllabuses;
  • Prepare monthly training reports;
  • Prepare the quarterly feedback summary;
  • Conduct training centres and courses evaluations as assigned;
  • Mentor and coach the crew on board;
  • Review of Task books and competency management assignments;
  • Be adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
  • Implement effectively the Company’s Management System;
  • Contribute to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
  • Promote and support efforts for continuous improvement;
  • Evaluate ship feedback and report to Head Office
  • Accommodate any other special tasks, if assigned
