Exciting opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to lead the technical and maritime operations of a fleet, ensuring compliance with international regulations, overseeing inspections, and driving a culture of safety and efficiency. 

Job Scope:
  • Oversee technical and maritime operations of a group of vessels, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.
  • Monitor ship performance through reports and inspections, analyzing trends and addressing defects.
  • Manage certificates to ensure vessels maintain valid international and local trading certificates.
  • Monitor and report on various ship parameters, including PMS, noon reports, and fuel consumptions.
  • Submit regulatory data (IMO DCS, EU/UK MRV) to relevant authorities and ensure compliance.
  • Familiarity with EU-ETS and EUA for monitoring and reporting environmental data.
  • Monitor CII ratings, ensuring compliance and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Enforce safety standards and regulations on board, implementing new regulations.
  • Plan and supervise dry-docking, special surveys, repairs, and conversions.
  • Approve requisition orders, compare quotes, and ensure timely delivery of genuine spares.
  • Conduct technical inspections, internal audits, and condition surveys on vessels.
  • Provide technical support to shipboard management and handle insurance claims.
  • Participate in TMSA audits, liaise with owners, and ensure vessels are ready for inspections.
  • Prepare yearly budgets, analyze operating expenses, and make improvement proposals.
  • Appraise shipboard personnel, identify training needs, and liaise with the company's management.
  • Actively contribute to the Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy saving culture within the company.
Requirements:
  • Sailing experience of at least 3 years in capacity of Chief Engineer on-board VLCCs and other types and Tankers. Sailing experience in bulk Carriers will be a plus.
  • 6 ~ 7 years of experience as Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent for Tanker fleet is preferable. Experience as Superintendent for LPG/LNG and Bulk carriers will be an advantage.
  • Experience of Dry-docking, Special survey and CAP surveys of VLCC/Suez Max and other type of tankers in various ships yards, particularly in China, Singapore and Middle East in MUST.
  • Experience with Dual Fuel Engines and ME/RT-FLEX main engines are preferred.
  • A good team player, hard-working, willing to learn and working during off hours is required.
  • Ready to sail on board and travel to overseas with short notice.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
