Faststream is currently looking for a Ship Operator to join a leading provider of marine dry bulk cargo handling and delivery services, based in Genova, Italy.
A preferred candidate should have few years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations and be a fluent English speaker - Italian is not required. For this role, you'll need the right to work and live in the European Union. A Bachelor/Master's degree related to the shipping industry would be an advantage but isn't required. As the company uses CSA development software, familiarity with the system would be a plus.
In this role, your responsibilities would include (but are not limited to) laytime calculations, handling demurrage and bunkering, cargo claims and shortages, overseeing CSA software for discrepancies, broad support of the chartering and commercial departments.
