This senior role is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a marine fleet. The successful candidate will lead on safety systems, regulatory compliance, and operational performance—supporting broader sustainability and digitalisation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO)
- Lead fleet safety, compliance, audits, emergency preparedness, and investigations
- Manage vessel certifications and ensure ISO 14001/9001 compliance
- Provide technical and navigational advice to vessels and internal teams
- Liaise with flag states, port authorities, and classification societies
- Support operational services including port interfaces and nautical logistics
- Participate in weekend duty management rota
- Seafaring experience
- Shore-based ship management background with DPA responsibilities
- Strong commercial awareness and operational leadership
- Marine aggregate industry experience is an advantage
- DPA, CSO, and ISM auditor qualifications required
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK/EU
