The Customer Service Executive plays a crucial role in managing and fulfilling the needs of clients and their cargo, ensuring seamless movement across various geographies, terminals, and vessels. As a key member of a dynamic team of 10, this executive collaborates closely with international colleagues and interacts with various departments to provide integrated service solutions.
Main Functions
- Deliver proactive customer service by managing bookings and executing daily cargo operations efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with regional customers, including conducting customer visits to strengthen relationships.
- Foster strong customer relations by adhering strictly to deadlines, ensuring best-in-class service delivery, and considering the cost implications of decisions.
- Contribute to driving continuous improvement within the department and the broader business, constantly seeking ways to enhance processes and service quality.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, both internally and externally, to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service roles within the maritime industry or shipping companies.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (both spoken and written) to facilitate effective communication with international clients and teams.
- Knowledge of Excel is desired.
- Possession of a driver's license is desirable.
