Key Responsibilities
- Lead all crewing activities for the assigned fleet in compliance with company and principal requirements.
- Conduct interviews and screenings for new applicants, assess ex-crew for re-assignment, and secure principal approval for hires.
- Develop rotation programs, coordinate repatriation, and maintain accurate crew rosters.
- Oversee deployment processes including medical checks, training, contract preparation, and departure clearances to ensure timely and cost-efficient crew changes.
- Liaise with principals, captains, and local agents for visa and crew change arrangements.
- Set recruitment goals with the senior management team and monitor candidate pipelines.
- Provide orientation to seafarers on employment terms, safety protocols, vessel-specific requirements, and cultural awareness.
- Track and mentor crew members with promotion potential; provide counselling and feedback as needed.
- Handle sensitive matters such as crew incidents, medical emergencies, and family communications in line with company protocols.
- Host visiting principals and attend vessel visits in Philippine or foreign ports as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
- Former Chief Engineer or Second Engineer with sailing experience on oil tankers.
- Minimum 1 year of shore-based experience in manning or crewing operations.
