Job Summary:

As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing services for existing and new customers within your designated region. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective planning, market analysis, and customer relationship management to contribute to sustainable growth and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and high standards of administration, risk management, and policy implementation.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives to support growth.
  • Expand the company's commercial activity to generate revenues and foster sustainable growth.
  • Conduct local market reviews and gather market intelligence for business development planning.
  • Create detailed business plans for commercial opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new accounts/customers based on growth plans.
  • Collaborate with Chartering and Commercial colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Evaluate market indices and activity to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key accounts to drive long-term development.
  • Understand customer requirements and manage customer relations effectively.
  • Monitor business development activities and customer relationship management performance.
  • Provide regular management reports on defined KPIs.

  • Proven commercial experience within the Shipping Industry.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong key account management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of transport management.
  • Curiosity and awareness of economics for key commodities/trades.
  • Results-driven with problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with excellent leadership skills.
  • Experience and successful track record in business development.
  • Expertise in key account management.
Experience:
  • At least 3 years of commercial experience, including a business administration and leadership role.
  • Clear understanding of financials, investments and strategic marketing.
