About the Opportunity
Our Client, a leading marine transportation and logistics company operating one of the world’s largest and most diverse fleets globally, is seeking a highly capable Commercial Associate to join its Asset Management Energy team. This is a key role overseeing a portfolio of LNG infrastructure assets, including:
- Floating Storage & Regasification Units (FSRUs),
- LNG Bunker Vessels (LNGBVs)
- Shuttle/Regasification Vessels (SRVs) — all held within joint‑venture structures.
This position offers a blend of commercial, operational, financial, and governance responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day‑to‑day commercial performance of allocated LNG assets.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Charterers, JV partners, Technical Managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Interpret and apply a wide range of contractual documentation, including:
-Ship Management & Layup Agreements
-Financing & Facility Agreements
-Joint Venture & Shareholder Agreements
-Shipbuilding Contracts
-Insurance policies (H&M, P&I, Loss of Hire, War Risk)
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations.
- Monitor and challenge OPEX and CAPEX spend against budget.
- Review pre‑delivery and post‑delivery budgets and guide Technical Managers where required.
- Track recharges, maintain AP/AR related to asset companies, and support funding schedules.
- Prepare and analyse KPIs, business reports and shareholder presentations, present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure all certificates, licences and insurance documents remain valid and renewed on time.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and reporting lines.
- Liaise closely with Finance, Business Development, Technical and HQ teams across multiple regions.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in LNG shipping, offshore energy, maritime infrastructure, or similar asset‑heavy industries.
- Strong understanding of charter parties, marine contracts, financing structures, and JV governance.
- History in OPEX/CAPEX management, financial reporting, and commercial oversight.
- Excellent commercial judgement with strong analytical capability.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to collaborate with diverse international stakeholders.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing several complex workstreams at once.
