Our client is looking for a dynamic Claims Executive to join their team in Singapore.
Main duties will be to provide sensitive, imaginative an cost effective claims handling and general support to clients and brokers within the marine insurance space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle claims with sensitivity and responsiveness.
- Deliver imaginative solutions to address claims issues.
- Ensure cost-effective claims processing.
- Provide general support to Clients and Brokers.
- Detailed understanding of the foundations of shipping law (distinction between source law)
- Distinctions and interface between civil law and criminal law
- Statute law and regulations
- Basis of law tort
- Personal injury damages calculations under English law, POE, Singapore Workmen’s Compensation Act and other national compensation regimes
- Detailed understanding of shipping law (Athens Convention Labilities, Collision Regulations, Interface of hull cover etc)
- Understanding of all aspects of P&I cover
- Understanding of principle estimating and their application to own claims
- Deliver imaginative solutions to address claims issues.
- Ensure cost-effective claims processing.
- Provide general support to Members and Brokers.
