Faststream Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading dry bulk shipowner, seeking a Chartering Manager to join their commercial team. This role is focused on period employment of vessels, handling Charter Party negotiations, and developing long-term relationships with brokers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and executing chartering strategies across the dry bulk segment.
- Negotiating time/voyage charters and COAs with a strong focus on Charter Party terms.
- Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships to secure market opportunities.
- Supporting business growth with market analysis, reporting, and commercial insights.
- 4–8 years’ dry bulk chartering experience, ideally from an Owner/Operator setup.
- Strong network within the broking community and a well-regarded personality.
- Experience in period trade (not just spot).
- Skilled negotiator with hands-on exposure to Charter Party management.
- A collaborative team player who is IT-savvy and comfortable with reporting/analysis.
