Faststream are working with an innovative offshore renewable technology company who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to assist with business development activities, and support the Commercial Director to qualify new clients and grow existing relationships to move their technology through to device sale.

The Role: 
The Business Development Manager will play an active role in providing a high
quality service to clients by developing the Companies value proposition and increasing visibility in the global market with key stakeholders and influencers.

Working remotely and from the main office in Swansea, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
▪ Assisting the Commercial Director to implement the commercial strategy, supporting the commercial readiness of their technology aligned with client needs and deployment timelines.
▪ Providing and promoting a high quality service across all market engagement activities.
▪ Support the identification and prioritization of new clients and identify new market opportunities, including international. 
▪ Supporting existing client relationships.
▪ Responding to developer RFIs and proactively identify opportunities.
▪ Working closely with the engineering team to gain a deep understanding of the technology in order to speak fluently and incorporate key messages in marketing materials. Expressing the value their devices bring across the project lifecycle.
▪  Articulating the value proposition and staying updated with market trends and competitor developments. 

The Person: 
▪ 3+ years business development in the energy / renewables / oil & gas or similar sector
▪ Proven track record of generating and converting opportunities into commercial contracts
▪ 3+ years’ experience working across commercial, marketing and technology teams
▪ Understanding of pre-sales commercial activities and associated steps to deliver first sale.
▪ Experience with CRM data entry.
▪ Organised and capable of juggling numerous competing priorities, with a strong ability to plan and prioritise under pressure with non-moveable deadlines.
▪ Excellent communication skills; ability to present at executive/Board level both internal and externally.
▪ Ability to travel and undertake overnight stays.
▪ IT literate. Excellent report writing skills.
▪ Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
▪ Valid UK Driving Licence.
