We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Technical Superintendent to join our growing team in Hamburg. The Assistant Technical Superintendent will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our vessels and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will allow the right candidate to make a real impact within the company and the industry. 

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance and repair of company vessels
  • Support the Technical Superintendent with technical and operational duties
  • Attend to vessel breakdowns, equipment failures and coordinate repairs
  • Provide technical support and advice to the vessel and shore-based management
  • Ensure vessel and equipment are maintained to the highest standards
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Hold a marine engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Sailed as 2nd or 3rd Engineer on container ships
  • Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance and repair procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of computer systems and software
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
