Role Overview:
- Location: Dubai, UAE
- Focus: Strengthening partnerships with other container shipping lines, driving joint ventures, and optimising network planning and operational efficiency.
- Joint Venture Development: Build and enhance business relationships with other container shipping lines to establish and manage joint ventures for ships and services.
- Operational Coordination: Liaise with terminals and industry partners to organise and negotiate service rotations, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Cost Control: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, monitor budgets, and ensure adherence to cost-control measures.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage and negotiate contracts with external stakeholders to secure optimal terms for services and partnerships.
- Network Planning: Oversee and optimise network planning, ensuring services meet business requirements while maximising profitability.
- Profit & Loss Management: Analyse P&L performance to ensure financial objectives are met, driving improvements where necessary.
- Experience: Proven background in container shipping, with a strong focus on network planning and operations.
- Expertise: Previous experience in an owner’s representative role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
