Faststream is recruiting for a Assistant Engineer Officer to join a Ferry as soon as possible. The client is offering a rolling contract that will have the opportunity to move into a permanent position after successful sailing.  

The role offers: 
  • 7 days on/off rotational shifts
  • Attractive day rate during temp contract
  • When permanent, a monthly salary (paid off an annual salary scheme) and a generous company pension scheme 
  • Free travel in relevant areas for employee and spouse 
The desired candidate will have the following: 
  • A reasonable commute to London 
  • STCW EOOW Unlimited 111/1 CoC
  • SMEOL / MEOL or other equivalent certification 
  • Experience sailing as a Master on a small Ferry / Multi-cat / Workboat or similar
  • Availability to join as soon as possible
  • Right to Work in UK
