Looking for a Technical Superintendent with Gas vessel experience . Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious operation of assigned vessels, primarily Gas/VLGC carriers, typically managing 3-5 gas vessels.
  • Ensure vessels comply with relevant rules, regulations, ISM code, ISO standards, and industry requirements.
  • Provide support on technical operations as needed.
  • Maintain technical statistics and attend to additional duties as required.
  • Analyze and respond to undesired events, participate in shipboard management systems reviews, and arrange management reviews to ensure implementation of decided actions.
  • During the absence of a Vessel Manager, the Fleet Manager assumes responsibility or delegates another backup vessel manager.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Technical/maritime qualifications with seagoing experience as Motor Chief Engineer on LPG vessels and/or Gas vessels.
  • Shore-based experience as Technical superintendent handling Gas vessels.
  • Good command of oral and written English.
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop close relationships with shipboard staff, vessel owners, charterers, and internal/external support functions.
