Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all technical operations of assigned chemical tankers comply with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for client representatives, fostering strong working relationships.
- Provide ongoing technical and operational support to your fleet, including troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Oversee planned maintenance systems, coordinate repairs, and manage dry-docking schedules from planning to execution.
- Monitor and manage vessel budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, class, and flag state requirements.
- Conduct regular vessel inspections and internal audits, identifying areas for improvement.
- Promote a robust Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) culture across the fleet.
- Drive continuous improvement across technical operations and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency Class 1
- At least 12 months of sailing experience as Chief Engineer
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a shore-based Technical Superintendent role
- Prior exposure to chemical tankers is highly preferred
