This newly created individual contributor role - Sustainability/Decarbonisation Analyst plays a pivotal part in supporting the company’s decarbonisation journey — through carbon market analytics, low-carbon fuel initiatives, and compliance reporting across an extensive global fleet.
The Opportunity
You will contribute to:
- Managing and analysing EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and FuelEU Maritime compliance activities, including carbon credit reporting, procurement, and optimisation.
- Supporting biofuel and alternative fuel procurement strategies, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency and emissions reduction.
- Monitoring and reporting on FuelEU pooling performance, supporting monetisation and fleet-level sustainability initiatives.
- Executing and enhancing internal carbon analytics, ensuring accurate, data-driven insights for commercial and technical decision-making.
- Partnering with technical, commercial, and sustainability teams to drive ongoing decarbonisation projects and performance assessments across global operations.
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in EU ETS, carbon trading, or energy product analysis.
- Solid understanding of carbon markets, fuel trading, and emissions compliance frameworks.
- Experience with shipping / maritime - specifically in the decarbonisation space.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills, with a strong commitment to sustainability.
- Proficient in carbon data analytics tools, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
