Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering design consultancy as a Structures Engineer. Faststream have been selected to support them in recruiting market leading talent to join their team in Southampton.

  
The Position
As a Structures Engineer you will be providing design and analysis work for assigned projects whilst meeting the relevant technical requirements. This is specifically focusing on the engineering of Yachts. 
  
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant experience in the marine industry
  • Ability to process technical problems
  • Self-motivation and time management to meet targets
  • Ability to produce clear and well-presented drawings
Desirable Criteria 
  • 2D CAD (AutoCAD)
  • 2D/3D CAD (Rhino and NAPA Steel) 
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations and Classification and Flag rule sets
  • Knowledge and understanding of ship systems design 
  • Knowledge and understanding of ship structural design 
  • Knowledge and understanding of structural analysis
