As Strategic Sales Manager, you’ll be the essential link between the business and a portfolio of high-value customers. Your focus will be on developing long-term partnerships, uncovering new business opportunities, and delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions across a range of routes and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Identify and drive growth opportunities across existing and new service lines.
- Execute strategic customer review meetings and align with business goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support smooth service delivery and issue resolution.
- Manage and document customer interactions using CRM systems (Salesforce).
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to shape commercial strategy.
- Ensure route pricing and yield optimisation based on customer segmentation and strategy.
- Represent the business at external customer meetings, trade events, and exhibitions.
- Proven experience in freight, maritime, or logistics sales, preferably with key account management.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop strategic sales plans.
- Confident communicator and negotiator with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and data-driven.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel and meet a target of 30 customer visits per month.
- Fluent in Dutch.
