Our client are searching for a Senior/Principal Naval Architect. It would be possible for us to hiring one of each depending on experience.

For this role you can be based in Portsmouth or Bristol.
 

My Client's Naval Architecture team is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior/Principal Naval Architect to join their technical team. The primary focus of the role is to lead and deliver technical projects related to submarine maneuvering and control, with opportunities to contribute to other aspects of technical delivery. The successful candidate will be a key player in solving complex hydrodynamic problems for defense and commercial clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead engineering and technical activities with effectiveness, ensuring the successful execution of work programs. Employ a deep understanding of Naval Architecture principles and sound engineering judgment to address intricate problems. Work collaboratively with other functions, such as Technical Excellence and Safety Engineering, to guarantee adherence to statutory, regulatory, and company-specific processes and procedures.

Required:
  • Good communication skills to be able to deliver updates to customers and clients.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in naval architecture and a candidate with either experience in maneuverability or strong Mathematical Modelling experience.
  • Must be able to obtain UK security clearance
