Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of civil engineering services that meet the business, its customers', and applicable regulatory specifications within budget and on time.
- Manage and supervise civil engineering project requirements, and act as the lead engineer for specific projects if required.
- Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures to ensure project scope clarity and compliance with change management processes.
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
- Outline project requirements, assign tasks, and supervise progress if responsible for a team, ensuring services meet the business, its customers', and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in civil engineering, and assist and support junior personnel as required.
- Communicate effectively with the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer, and identify and solve issues and problems.
- Possess highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and a sound knowledge of civil engineering, local and international standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Use civil engineering-specific software and relevant software like MS Office Suite.
- Have substantial technical and practical experience in civil engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Hold a recognized and relevant engineering degree, with a preference for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management, or supervisory qualifications, or equivalent.
