We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Agency Operator to join our clients dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient turnaround of vessels across key ports in the South East UK region. This position requires a commitment to providing a 24/7 on-call service and will involve regular travel to various ports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vessel Coordination: Manage all aspects of port calls from enquiry and nomination to vessel departure, ensuring seamless coordination of all services.
- Vendor Management: Work with vendors and port service providers to minimize vessel idle time and optimize operational efficiency.
- Real-Time Reporting: Keep Principals and stakeholders informed with real-time updates on vessel progress, berthing, and cargo operations.
- Husbandry Services: Arrange and manage husbandry services, including crew changes, provisions, and other essential services.
- On-Site Boarding: Board vessels on arrival/departure to meet with the Master, handle formalities, and ensure smooth operations.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including customs clearances, Statements of Fact, and port services bookings.
- Proven experience in port/ship agency operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle out-of-hours work on a rota basis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel regularly to ports within the region.
