We are seeking passionate individuals to transform and shape the future with game-changing net-zero technology. This role is for a high skilled and motivated Principal Naval Architect

Role:

You will be responsible for –
  • Developing client vessel concepts, obtaining Approval in Principle and ultimately, Class certification
  • Authoring work specifications for the procurement of technical services and management of cradle-to-grave contract execution
  • Supporting safety assessments as subject matter expert in the area of marine vessel design
  • Liaison with industry stakeholders; system designers, classification societies, regulators and potential customers to manage evolving requirements
  • Supporting market development efforts 
Requirements:

This role would ideally suit a candidate who thrives in a highly creative environment with a high degree of intellectual curiosity balanced with a pragmatic awareness to maintain project progress.

Essential -
  • Masters Degree in Naval Architecture
  • 8+ years of direct experience working in ship and/or offshore infrastructure design
  • Proven leader with a track record of high profile project execution
  • Ability to manage projects against evolving design requirements
  • Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, marine structures and marine safety
  • Good understanding of propulsion technologies and marine machinery
Desired - 
  • Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution
  • Comfortable with Computer Aided Design (CAD), particularly, software related to stability calculations, structural analysis, wave loading and dynamic behaviour of offshore structures
  • Good understanding of risk management in design and design development methods
  • The right to work and Live in the UK
  • Able to commute to London
