Faststream Recruitment are recruiting for a Principal HVAC Engineer on behalf of a major international Energy business, to work on a billion-dollar, international, large chemicals processing facility project. The project will contribute towards European energy transition targets through the delivery of sustainable battery materials for transportation.  
 

  
The Principal HVAC Engineer shall be responsible for concept, FEED and detailed design services for mechanical HVAC equipment.

Responsibility include:

  • Applying your knowledge and experience in the design and substantiation of ventilation systems and delivering HVAC designs at a Principal Level

  • Producing ventilation system design deliverables, i.e. Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFD’s), Basis of Design (BoD), Plant Sizing Calculations (Heating / Cooling / Fan Sizing) Control Philosophy

  • Delivering written work including Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports

  • Maintaining the required technical quality of work

  • Identifying scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process

  • Ensuring design complies with the relevant procedures and regulations

  • Ensuring, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule

  • Preparing estimates and schedules and assisting in their review

  • Maintaining good communication with the client and visiting Assets when necessary

  • Encouraging and providing lateral learning within the department and projects

  • Promoting company values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures

This is an exciting 12 month + contract working on a major new green energy project. The role is on a PAYE basis and the client will provide the necessary equipment to do the work. The client is happy for a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days in the office and 3 from home. They are also happy for you to work out of any of their 3 UK office locations in West London, Manchester or Stockton.
