Role: Operations Superintendent

Focus: Breakbulk Operations. Loading/ Unloading
The Company
A leading operator of sophisticated bulk carriers, is seeking an Operations Superintendent for it's regional office in Antwerp. The fleet of advanced vessels, all equipped with travelling gantry cranes, serves a global network with regional offices in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Antwerp, Livorno, Savannah, Vancouver BC, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, and Bergen, with the head office is in Tønsberg, Norway.
The Role
As an Operations Superintendent, you will operate Bulk vessels alongside a team of six experienced professionals, overseeing cargo operations in Northern Europe. Your responsibilities will include coordinating port and stevedoring cost inquiries, ensuring intake feasibilities align with commercial department, approving FDA’s and handling invoices, following up on FIOS Charter Parties, and performing laytime calculations.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with preferably three years of experience in ship operations within the dry bulk and/or breakbulk sectors. Relevant education and seagoing experience are advantageous. You should be self motivated, organized, and structured, with strong negotiation skills.
