We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the gas carrier operations of a globally renowned ship owner. With a fleet of 8 vessels, including VLGCs and mid-sized carriers, this is a unique opportunity to make a real impact and drive operational excellence.
As the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the Gas carrier fleet. This includes ensuring safety, minimizing operational costs, and meeting the expectations of owners and charterers. You'll also play a key role in promoting their safety culture and standards aboard the vessels.
You will oversee voyage planning and execution, emphasizing safety and environmental protection, while also managing operational costs to ensure vessel performance meets expectations. You will provide timely guidance to the Master, negotiate agency fees, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, you will manage voyage correspondence and assist with commercial analysis and reporting to ensure efficient operations and adherence to best practices.
You should have prior experience as a Chief Officer or Captain on Gas Tankers, along with a Chief Officer's or Master's Certificate, or equivalent qualification. You will have experience in shore-based operations of Gas Tankers, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects under pressure, and possess strong analytical skills. Commercial awareness, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities are crucial, along with a positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a strong work ethic.
