In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the daily operational aspects of a Military Sealift Command vessel, including managing shipyard projects and dry dockings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and negotiate shipyard dry-docking projects exceeding three million dollars.
- Ensure safe, efficient project execution and technical compliance.
- Provide remote support from your home office and on-site assistance as required.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare and manage project records, reports, and budgets.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a Port Engineer with a track record in shipyard project management.
- Four years' experience aboard ocean-going ships as Chief Engineer or First Assistant Engineer.
- Seven years' overall experience, inclusive of relevant education or shipyard/military background.
- Strong project management skills and technical expertise.
