What does a day in a life of a Naval Architect look like for my client?
Let me tell you a little about the role. Please note, it's always worth discussing the role over the phone as I am sure you are interested in this fantastic opportunity but also you might feel that some things do not match with your experience. Either way, lets talk about it.
The Opportunity:
- Working closely on your own and part of the team on stability assessments.
- Working on solutions with multi discipline teams to make sure integration and compatibility is running smoothly.
- Deliver Hydrodynamics assessments and analyses on performance related matters.
- Automate the optimisation's of various hull forms for hydrodynamic performance.
- Deal with documentation such as, engineering drawing, design specifications and technical reports to make sure all records are updated for the project.
- Design and assist with structural hull designs for projects.
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree related to the Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Have strong software skills such as Solidworks, Rhino, 2D/3D Cad modelling and any other Naval Architecture software.
- Experience working with CFD and hydrodynamics analyses.
- Understanding of ship stability and added extra if history of working with submersibles.
- Have a sound understanding of regulatory requirement, industry standards and best practices.
- Previous experience designing, drawing and working with small craft is beneficial.
