We are working with a heavy lift, transportation and installation specialist in their search for a Naval Architect. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mooring analysis, hydrodynamics, and be a confident user of Orcaflex.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects related to heavy lift and transportation and installation.
Conduct and supervise mooring analysis, hydrodynamic analysis and prepare reports.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Act as a mentor to junior staff members, providing guidance and training as required.
Review and approve designs, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role, with a strong background in heavy lift and transportation and installation.
Strong technical skills in mooring analysis, hydrodynamics, and Orcaflex software.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
