A leading player in the maritime industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Superintendent to join a dynamic team. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and environmental responsibility, they specialize in the transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and are committed to maintaining the highest standards in the industry.

 We are currently looking for a qualified Marine Superintendent with expertise in LNG vessels to oversee and ensure the safe and efficient operation of their fleet. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing vessel operations, compliance with regulations, and supporting their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities:
  1. Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to international maritime regulations and industry standards related to LNG vessel operations. Implement and maintain safety management systems.
  2. Vessel Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of LNG vessels, including voyage planning, cargo handling, and navigation. Monitor vessel performance and fuel efficiency.
  3. Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities to ensure vessels are in optimal condition. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  4. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans. Conduct regular drills and training to ensure the crew is well-prepared for emergencies.
  5. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices. Implement measures to minimize the environmental impact of vessel operations.
  6. Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of operational budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high operational standards.
  7. Communication: Liaise with port authorities, classification societies, and other relevant stakeholders. Maintain open communication with vessel crews and provide support as needed.
  8. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on vessel performance, safety statistics, and operational efficiency. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  1. Shorebased experience with LNG Vessels as Marine Superintendent
  2. Master Mariner 
  3. In-depth knowledge of LNG shipping regulations and industry best practices.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  6. Familiarity with safety management systems and emergency response procedures.
  7. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
