Faststream are working with a major oil and gas drilling company to add a Marine Superintendent to their team. This is a hybrid working role based out of the clients office in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marine plans for drilling projects, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including drilling contractors, vessel operators, and port authorities, to ensure seamless operations
- Oversee the movement and positioning of marine vessels, including drill ships, barges, and support vessels, utilizing advanced navigation and positioning systems
- Monitor and manage marine risks associated with drilling operations, such as collisions, weather hazards, and environmental impacts
- Work with design team on mooring integrity and structural aspects of projects
- STCW - Masters Unlimited Certificate
- Dynamic Positioning experience
- Strong knowledge on UK Maritime Laws and Regulations
- Experience with offshore Marine matters and best practices
