The Company-
My client is a global leader in providing classification and technical services to the marine and offshore industries. They are looking to hire an IECRE Program Manager, who will be responsible for the coordinated management of multiple Offshore Wind projects and stakeholder management, which are directed towards a common objective.

The Role-
This candidate will monitor costs, schedule, and technical performance of component projects while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program, they will be responsible for Constituent Project Managers for the execution of their projects and their impact on the program. 
  
This role is the Certification Authority for Offshore Wind Projects as per IECRE OD-502 which thrives in planning and executing innovation and can manage a diverse team that delivers offshore wind development services with a wide range of complexity. This role can be located in either London or Aberdeen.
  
The Responsibilities:
  • Lead Offshore Wind certification and execution activities globally, leveraging and nurturing current relationships and growing new relationships with key Customers.
  • Support the strategy and positioning for multidisciplinary proposal efforts and RFP responses, which may require input from various technical teams. 
  • Communicate the company's services and thought leadership at industry events, conferences, and Customer meetings, as well as local and global internal R&D projects related to their offshore wind business. 
  • Work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, and Communications team to provide content and strategy regarding their growing and evolving offshore wind service offerings and industry-supporting discoveries.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to be customer-facing and expand opportunities that allow cross-disciplinary departments to deliver various offshore wind services during the different phases of a project lifecycle. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on IECRE OD-502 Certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of project certification and IECRE Certification is a must, and the ability to expand their services for offshore wind.
  • Direct and support develop of schedules/timelines/cost plans that support the business objectives, established budgets, resources, and project deliverables for each project
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of the overall project delivery process, including coaching cross-functional teams.
  • Review and influence projects to ensure projects are executed within the approved budget and schedule and per company Quality requirements
  • Managing risks and issues and directing/taking corrective measurements
  • Managing and utilizing resources across programs
  • Managing stakeholders’ communication and preparing communications for management and updates.
  • Managing the main project documentation from project initiation through completion per the process instructions.
  • Negotiate budgets, schedules, project terms, and conditions on specific proposal opportunities and change requests.
  • Work with Survey and Engineering Management to establish staffing requirements in support of program execution.
  • Coaches, motivates, mentors, and more junior project managers.
The Person- 

Education & Experience:
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other relevant field with emphasis on Wind Energy
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in Offshore Wind Projects, and Project Certification roles.
  
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Holistic Offshore Wind Farm deep Technical knowledge for all infrastructure with a focus on Fixed/Floating Foundations/Substructures, Substations, High Voltage Cables, and Wind Turbine Generators.
  • Exceptional knowledge of IECRE Project Certification and IEC standards
  • Ability to organize, plan, monitor, and control project contractual requirements, budgets, schedules, and technical work.
  • Exceptional Proficiency with PM tools and software (i.e. MS Office and MS Project) will be preferred
  • Realization of financial aspects of approved business plans and budgets for the program.
  • Ability to direct the execution of complex programs.
  • Working knowledge of the Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
