Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the vessel operations team, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and goals.
- Oversee the planning and execution of cruise ship schedules, optimizing for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Manage vessel resources, including crew assignments, procurement, maintenance, and operational budgets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ship owners, port authorities, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improving performance, cost-effectiveness, and guest experiences.
- Develop and implement operational procedures, continuously refining processes to enhance efficiency.
- Lead crisis management efforts during emergencies, prioritizing passenger safety and minimizing disruptions.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment, nurturing professional growth among team members.
- Deliver regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting operational achievements and challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in maritime studies, business, or related fields (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in cruise ship operations or maritime management.
- Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry best practices, and safety standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using maritime software, technology, and operations management tools.
- A track record of driving operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as required by the nature of the cruise industry.
