Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies during closing procedures.
- Drive automation and improve reporting by translating data into visuals and insights.
- Define and monitor relevant KPIs, comparing company performance against industry benchmarks.
- Collect and analyze both financial and non-financial data to support management decision-making processes, managing data from various sources and programs.
- Establish robust communication channels and feedback systems to foster transparency, build trust, and enhance collaboration with stakeholders.
- Assist the accounting team in preparing audit deliverables.
- Enjoy analyzing data, recognizing patterns, and interpreting underlying narratives.
- Pride in presenting discoveries through high-quality reporting that adds value across the company.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree focused on accounting or finance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in business control or financial control.
- Experience with data handling systems, database management, and some coding (expert knowledge of Excel required, PowerBI and/or Python is a plus).
- Strong analytical mindset, able to process large amounts of information and draw accurate conclusions.
- "Hands-on" approach with a "can do" mentality, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English (Dutch is a plus).
