We are recruiting for a Director of Operations for a busy container terminal based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
You will be responsible for overseeing and directing the terminal’s operations management team.
Providing leadership will be a key part of this role, motivating and managing the team in a manner that maximizes efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment. Developing and maintaining professional relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
You will be degree educated with marine terminal operations experience in a leadership role and ideally must have experience in managing related union labor.
The ability to manage a large, complex and diverse workforce in a fast paced environment and be accountable for safe and efficient operations, together with the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with union labor and staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up to a Director level position from Senior Management, with good future potential for career development withing the organization.
