Reporting to the VP Fleet Technical Operations, the Director, Fleet Technical operations is responsible for operational performance, material state and maintenance of vessels within the Fleet.
You will be responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining all Maritime standards required to ensure compliance with all Statutory and Company HESS and ISM Code requirements. The Director, Fleet Technical Operations is accountable under the ISM code for the compliance of assigned vessels to appropriate legislation. You will ensure an effective and efficient maintenance/repair strategy is in place for the, which is aligned with the business asset management strategy, providing the highest reliability and availability of vessels and assets to meet Business objectives.
You will need to have experience of forecasting and control and variance analysis of the Repair and Maintenance P&L budget for the Fleet as well as
for overseeing the strategic direction of the fleet and technical operations. You will analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize the performance and efficiency of the company's ships.
In addition to your strategic responsibilities, you will also be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians. You will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to help your team develop and grow in their roles.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a significant experience working in the cruise industry, including a deep understanding of ship operations, maintenance, and repair.
