As Deputy Chief Security Officer , you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the security team under the guidance of the Chief Security Officer. The Deputy Chief Security Officer ensures the safety and security of passengers, crew, and assets while responding to security incidents. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced maritime environment, with a schedule that includes working 7 days a week and being on call 24/7.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing teams in fast-paced environments, preferably within the security sector.
- At least 3 years of military experience, preferably in special forces or as a commander/officer. Alternatively, a law enforcement background with experience as a commander/officer
- Strong understanding of maritime security regulations and protocols, including the
International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) conventions. - Proficiency with security hardware and software systems, such as Assa Abloy, Ving,
Vision line, AXIS, and Qognify.
- 17 week contract lengths.
