Faststream are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing officer to join a large ship owning and managing business based in the Netherlands within the procurement team. They are leading provider in maritime transport and will continue to maintain and expand this position within the market.
The role itself will primarily involve processing the purchase requisitions from the vessels for spare parts, consumables and services. Additionally, you will develop the supply strategy as well as bulk purchase the items for the vessels and projects around them.
However, what the business looks for is energetic and cost driven individuals looking to find the best possible solutions that put quality and economy in equal measure.
Anyone coming from a procurement or purchasing background may possess the skills that you will need to be successful in this position and any profile that has procurement experience will be considered, even if out with the maritime industry.
