Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Director to lead their dry bulk fleet from their Singapore office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in marine engineering, and a modern outlook on how technical management will evolve in the years ahead.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical management of the dry bulk fleet, including vessel operations, maintenance, and repair. Most importantly, you will be partnering closely with the senior stakeholders to future proof technical management capabilities and competencies to take on more vessels as well as modern vessels equipped with new technologies. Developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and safety. Driving innovation and new technologies. Building a high-performing team.
Key requirements:
- Substantial seagoing experience in the capacity of a Chief Engineer or Master Mariner.
- Proven record in a senior leadership position leading technical management, preferably for dry bulk fleet.
- Experience in driving technology transformations, e.g Dual Fuel LNG transition, digitalization, etc
- Critical thinker, solution provider.
