Position Overview:
As a Tanker Shipbroker you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the chartering of tanker vessels, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions for our clients. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining strong relationships with ship owners, operators, and charterers while actively contributing to the growth and success of our tanker brokerage division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the chartering process for tanker vessels, negotiating favorable terms for both clients and the company.
- Utilize market intelligence to analyze trends, assess risks, and recommend suitable chartering strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored shipping solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of global tanker market trends, including supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and industry regulations.
- Provide regular market reports and insights to internal teams and clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for charter parties, contracts, and other relevant shipping documents.
- Stay updated on international shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth execution of contracts and charters.
- Maintain effective communication with ship owners, operators, and charterers to address any operational issues promptly.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a tanker shipbroker with a reputable brokerage firm.
- In-depth knowledge of the international tanker market and shipping industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in using relevant shipping software and tools.
