Faststream Recruitment has entered an exclusive partnership with Ambrey as they expand there service and bring a 24/7 operation centre to Southampton. Faststream have been selected to attract skilled seafarers to join the Ambrey team.
We are actively seeking Senior Maritime Operation Officers to join the Ambrey team, working in the operations and intelligence department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Maritime Operations Officers to respond to intelligence alerts and prove routing advise to vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Complete voyage risk assessments.
- Review, advise and guide on vessel regional Best Management Practices (BMP), including route advice and vessel schedule administration.
- Provide incident support and dynamic re-routing as necessary.
- Lead a team that maintains a 24/7 watch, ensuring the safety and security of our client’s assets and personnel.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or breaches, escalating as required and taking appropriate action to mitigate risk.
- Communicating directly with the Master in the event of an alert and providing relevant security and routing advice, advise an alternative route when appropriate.
- Collaborate with the watchkeepers and Guardian operations managers.
- Create/fulfil shift handover documentation.
- Act as line manager for MOO’s:
- Interviewing and recruitment of new team members.
- Probation reviews, reporting and continuation training.
- Team Training.
- Annual appraisals.
- Team Rota and sustainable team coverage.
- Fully understand the Guardian and GVTO process.
We are looking for people that have had Master Mariner experience, a strong understanding of ship security and merchant shipping.
