Our agency is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a Yacht Operations Manager to join one of the world's leading yacht charter companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Caribbean region, leading and overseeing all technical aspects of the bases within the area.

In this role you will be accountable for achieving and exceeding Safety, NPS, and Profit targets while ensuring the bases comply with company policies and local regulations. The position requires extensive travel between our Caribbean bases, with an estimate of three out of four weeks per month traveling. While the ideal candidate should be based in the US (in an East coast timezone), we are open to considering applicants willing to relocate to one of our base locations in the Caribbean.

Responsibilities include driving strict adherence to the company’s standard operating procedures for both charter and resort operations, maintaining yacht readiness for charter, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and following the company's Safety Management System and Incident Management Plan processes. The candidate will work with the central safety team to ensure base safety audits are completed and all action plans are delivered on time. The successful candidate will also be responsible for championing standard processes that protect the environment and liaising and negotiating with external contractors as needed.

As the operations manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and tidiness of all bases and properties, managing the property preventative maintenance program within agreed budgets, and leading agreed property refurbishment and new build projects. The candidate will also represent the business at vital external meetings, maintain strong local relationships with all government bodies and ensure compliance with local authorities.

The candidate will be required to manage staff, provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback, and supervise and lead staff performance using the company performance review guidelines, taking care of issues as required. They will also partner with HR to recruit, interview, and coordinate the training of staff, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure all required employee/freelance staff administration is completed.

As the operations manager you will partner with the Finance Manager to monitor annual cost and capex budgets, review and comment on monthly P&L expenses and assist in reforecasting, and drive local and ancillary review to meet budgets. The candidate will also negotiate and agree third-party contracts and monitor performance against agreed service levels, control damages and losses, and ensure compliance with company financial processes and procedures, taking remedial action to address any issues.
