Job Description: Project Scheduler for Cruise Ship Refit Project

Location - Hamburg/Bremerhaven

Salary - €50,000 - €55,000 Euros GROSS

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our team for a large-scale refit project of a cruise ship. As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate and comprehensive projects schedule, ensuring that all activities and resources are properly aligned to meet project goals and deadlines. Your expertise in scheduling and coordination will be crucial in driving the successful execution of the refit project.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule using MS Project and/or appropriate scheduling software, considering all project phases, activities, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including the project team,owners,engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to gather necessary information for scheduling purposes.
  • Analyzed project scope, objectives, and deliverables to determine the most effective scheduling approach and establish realistic timelines.
  • Ensure the identified project milestones, key activities, and critical paths are on track.
  • Regularly review and update the project schedule to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, or other factors that may impact the timeline.
  • Monitor and track project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays or risks and proposing mitigation strategies to project manager and/or project team.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, resource utilization reports, and variance analysis reports, to communicate project status to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the project team to review the schedule, address concerns, and ensure alignment between different workstreams.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and other team members to develop contingency plans and identify opportunities for schedule optimization.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to incorporate their activities into the project schedule and ensure timely delivery of required materials and services.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project team regarding schedule-related matters, including best practices, scheduling constraints, and dependencies.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions at the end of the project to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in future scheduling processes.
  • Any other support tasks assigned by Project Manager or Senior Management team.
