Position Overview:
  
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Team Leader to oversee and manage procurement activities within our client's tanker operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping and maritime procurement, with proven leadership skills to guide a team towards operational excellence.
  
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency, quality, and supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing for goods and services.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in shipping and maritime procurement, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with strong team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering results.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
