We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Structural Engineer with a focus on Offshore Structures to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the structural engineering design and analysis of jackup vessels and jackets for offshore oil and gas projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of jackup vessels and jackets for offshore oil and gas projects.
- Lead the structural engineering design process from conceptual design through to detailed design and construction support.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support on structural engineering design and analysis techniques.
- Participate in project meetings with clients and other stakeholders, providing technical advice and guidance where necessary.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with jackup vessel and jacket design and construction.
- Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in structural engineering design and analysis of jackup vessels and jackets for offshore oil and gas projects.
- Expert knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Experience in leading the structural engineering design process from conceptual design through to detailed design and construction support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Experience in identifying and mitigating technical risks associated with jackup vessel and jacket design and construction.
