We are recruiting for a Port Engineer, to help maintain a small fleet of vessels operating out of Miami, Florida.
The role will require an experienced Marine Engineer, ideally holding having previous Port Engineer experience or holding a First Assistant Engineer / Chief Engineer Unlimited License.
You will be required to support the on-board engineers and supervise the activities of marine engine technicians engaged in the maintenance and repair of all aspects of the vessels inspecting their work to ensure that it is performed properly.
The role will act as a liaison between a ship's captain and shore personnel to ensure that schedules and budgets are maintained and that the ship is operated safely and efficiently.
Travel will be required when necessary to ports and you may be required to be on call during evenings and weekends.
