Faststream are working with a major drilling organisation to add a Marine Superintendent to their team. This is a role based in their Aberdeen office with frequent trips abroad.
Responsibilities:
- Aid the Marine Manager in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, industry best practices, and the company's SMS for all marine operations.
- Help ensure that company units align with authority, client, and company standards for marine equipment, operations, and statutory certification validity.
- Assist in confirming the competency, training, and certification of marine personnel aboard company units.
- Participate in the review of marine operations, research programs, and information supplied by clients/operators.
- Contribute to the examination of marine operations, research programs, and information provided by our Clients/Operators.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to support vessel projects and SPS initiatives.
- Partner with the design team to enhance mooring integrity and develop structural innovations.
- Carry out ISM compliance audits and surveys on company units and support vessels as needed.
- Aid in investigating marine-related HSE and operational incidents and develop measures to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
- Relevant bachelors degree
- STCW Certificate of Competency Masters Unlimited
- DP Experience
- Strong experience in the offshore industry in a management position.
- Strong knowledge and experience within UK Maritime Law.
- Must have right to work in the UK.
